I知 having Honda Activa and was having the problem with the start and when I took it to the mechanic he guide me to change the battery. So now I知 planning to install the Maintenance free battery. I believe MF battery wont needs charging like we do for normal one. I also want to ask how is alpha series battery. Please give idea on brand and model will be good for Activa.

Well I think you must go for the Amaron Pro whose model number is AP-ATX5L which usually comes with the 5 year warranty and it comes with factory charge. Well this is a VRLA battery so you need not top it up a sit doesn’t contain liquid and contain gel form so no evaporation and so no venting of vapor. Just check your current battery if it is 5ampere then you can go for it. If you want cheap one then you can get the AP-BTX5L.

As per my knowledge the Amaron is the best which usually comes with the 2.5 year replacement warrant and also plus 2.5 year for pro rate replacement. You must go for it as it’s really worth.

I think so there is no stock available for the alpha series which is having 60 months warranty. You must get the beta series which is having 4 years warranty. The cost of Activa battery is around RS11000 as usually the normal battery comes in 500 to 600RS.

You can buy the Amaron battery form any shop it not necessary it should be a Amaron Pit Stop. Just make sure that you get the discount on your new battery after giving the old one. I had bought a new 9 ampere PBR beta series which cost me around RS1350. The dealer quotes me around RS1500 and even given discount of RS150 for old battery.

You must ask this in more than one shop a most of the dealer quote for Amaron Pit Stop alpha 1750 and for beta they quote for. Most of the dealer quotes around 1600 for alpha including the old battery refund. I had bought in RS 1500. It’s really worth as it doesn’t require charging and toping up just make sure that your charging system is OK.
