Pulsar 220 vs. KTM Duke 200

I am planning to buy a new bike for my son on this 21st Birthday as a birthday gift but as I donít know much about bikes I would like to know which is a better bike from these two. I asked many of his friends which bike my son likes so everyone told me that he like two bikes Bajaj Pulsar 220 and a new KTM Duke 200. I also tried to ask them which is a better bike they told me both are good go for anyone. So just thought of posting over here and ask everyone who knows more about these bikes. Please let me know as soon as possible. As my sonís birthday is coming in next 3 months and I know the waiting period of any bike or car is almost that time.

I think KTM Duke 200 is a very pretty bike with good looks and good top speed of 136 Kmph. It has a good Single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with maximum power of 25 Bhp at 10000 rpm and maximum Torque of 19.2 Nm at 8000 rpm. And it almost has all the features which a biker would like to have but I think the price would be a major factory over here.

Yea price should be a factor because if this bike cost letís say around 1,50,000 then itís worth it and would be better than Bajaj Pulsar 220 because personally i like the stealth and the looks of this bike. And of course the power of this bike has to be good as it an off road 200cc bike! Mileage would be a considering factor here. Thatís my personal view!

Duke is a different class. It will be a huge success like Pulsar. Definitely a naked twin brother. 25BHP with a weight of 138kgs will make this bike miles ahead of Yamaha R15 and CBR 250. R15 at least has the looks on roads which CBR lags. CBR looks very ordinary on road. Pulsar is more impressive on road compared to CBR 250. Yet to see a Duke on the streets. It will be worth a wait for a Yamaha R25, if it gets launched soon.

KTM Duke 200 has 25 PS of maximum power but much less weight 125kg will it have any effect. I think feel like driving in terms of power will be awesome but can be feel like driving a 125cc segment bike because of much less weight.

As per me Bajaj Pulsar 220 is a great bike. I have bought it and my friend has bought Karizma ZMR we do race on fly over of Kanpur and i always win. Karizma's tyres are like cycle and its engine gets hot so quickly. Bajaj Pulsar is much better than Karizma ZMR. As I donít know much about KTM Duke 200 I cannot comment on it.

I love Bajaj Pulsar from the day it had launched its first 150cc bike. And I own a Bajaj Pulsar 180cc but after seeing KTM Duke 200 I am thinking to sell my bike and go for Duke 200. So can anyone let me know the specification of this bike so that I can come to know which bike I should buy?
