There are many people hating Royal Enfield Classic and I don't know the reason why. But this much I can assure you that you'll never regret buying a Royal Enfield, be it any model. Coming back to your question about performance:
1: It has massive torque and power.
2: Riding comfort is very high.
3: Now, with MRF Nylogrips, Classic gets a superb grip and traction.
4: This is the best deal when it comes to money believe me, its pure value for money & last but not the least.
5: The Thump of any Bullet leaves you wanting for more time on the road.

Purchased the classic 500cc a couple of weeks back, just love it .A little difficult to ride in the city just because of the raw power .Can’t wait to take it for a long ride! Loving it. The beast on the road.

I think both the bikes are great with good mileage and great performance and yes if you ride this bike on road you will feel like a king ruling. And this bike is the boss of all the bikes in India. The new Bullet 350cc mileage is 40-45kmpl claimed by company. And Bullet classic 500cc model given mileage 30-35kmpl.
