As I have till now done some research on both these scooters and I came to know that there are mix reviews about both these scooter some of them says that Duro is the best scooter to go for and some of them says that is not at all worst to buy this scooter and about Maestro till now I have not got the proper review kind of things from people. So guys please help me out of this confusion.

I was in search of a bike and after a I saw Honda Activa, Suzuki access, I finally got Mahindra Duro initially even I had a thought in my mind whether I made a right choice but as time passed I was very happy with the performance of the scooter I used it really to the fullest I could ferry my cylinder with ease, I tested it on all the bad roads during monsoon, I never had any kind of problem, and about the mileage I get good mileage about 40+ km. I almost ride it daily for around 30-40km and I am using the bike for the past 1 years I had no major issues at all, the ride is very comfortable if you maintain your scooter then you will never have any kind of issues with it and if you donít use brake frequently and also keep perfect air pressure in your scooter tyres I would say you will never get the mileage problem also.

Engine of Mahindra Duro 125 DZ

    - 124.6cc 4-stroke petrol engine
    - Maximum power of 8 Bhp at 7000 rpm
    - Maximum torque of 9 Nm at 5500 rpm

    Engine of Hero Maestro

    - 109cc petrol engine
    - Maximum power of around 8.2 bhp
    - Maximum torque of around 9 nm

Now if you compare both these scooter engines you will clearly see that Duro is more powerful then Maestro.

It was a mistake for me to go for Mahindra Duro 125 DZ. In spite of poor reviews and strong suggestion from many people to buy this scooter then to I purchased this scooter without even taking a test ride. And after buying it I was totally horrified. This is the most unfortunate decision I had ever taken. Engine rumbles, and if you challenge the showroom for the Mileage of this scooter I am 100 percent sure you will win. As it gives less than 35KMPL. It does not have good pick up. Even the seat lock makes lots of noise. I think it is not at all worth for 53K. Now I think instead of taking this scooter if I would have saved my money it would be the best choice. So please what so every happens please never go for this scooter.

Well i have got Mahindra Duro a month back and have ride it almost to 1000kms. Now before buying this vehicle i did a detailed study of Activa, access 125 and Duro. But finally I went with Mahindra Duro and I just loved the scooter for the comfortable ride and the power. I got a mileage of 30-35 Kms. I was told that the mileage will only increase after 2nd service which i did agree to. The concern which i had in the beginning was the power of the headlight which was really dim since it was only 35W. When i went in for 1st service i changed the headlight to Halogen 35W which is really fantastic and bright enough. Apart from this i donít have any major complaints for the scooter. After all you just pay close to 50000 Rs and canít expect a Yamaha R15 comfort. Vehicle is worth the money compared to Activa. Then the condition of each vehicle depends upon the usage of the owners.

hey.. i completely agree with Ankush and funnyguy, Mahindra duro Dz is way ahead of hero maestro in terms of power, style and mileage. mahindra has 125 cc compared to 110 cc. i have been driving duro dz for 4 months now and havent encountered any problems at all. The ride is smooth and safe. Even my little sister rides it with great ease and comfort. The after sale service is brilliant. The recent fuel hikes makes it even lucrative option. Go for mahindra Duro dz, i havnt even heard much reviews about maestro. its a very good buy,you wont be disappointed.

I agree with tarungupta, I think, mahindra duro is one of the best scooters in its class. At 125cc, digital ignition engine and new advanced telescopic suspension the ride is pretty smooth and comfortable. When you are getting high power and better engine with style and class, i dont think you should look further. its a great buy!!

I think their would not be any second thought if it comes to mahindra duro dz. It is an awesome and fully loaded scooter in its class. In terms of mileage durodz is way ahead than maestro. It easily gives 45-50 kmpl where maestro hardly manages 40 kmpl and also in terms of safety it is better. My bro handles it brilliantly, the color choices are also amazing….cappuccino brown looks very dazzling!!
